Chicago highlights

Another wonderful day in Chicago. Our first thought was to visit the Sears building but as we were walking a man in the street said if you're interested in buildings you should visit the Rookery. So we went inside this wonderful old building which had had its interior redesigned by Frank Lloyd Wright. We went on a tour. It was fantastic!

Then we went to the Sear's building and caught the elevator to the top and looked down on Chicago.

And then back to the Art Institute for lunch and more art. Then we visited the Millennium Park and revisited the marvelous Bean and a stunning fountain.

And then we went to the Chicago Cultural Centre which had been the Chicago Library - a wonderful old building with two glass domes, one of which is the biggest Tiffany dome in the world.

Pretty impressive. We have now returned home and are about to go out to dinner. Tomorrow we fly to Los Angeles.
