Besides coming to Charlevoix to catch up with family, visit the house and enjoy the lake, one of our main aims was to have a celebration
for Jesse and Mel's recent wedding. Serendipitously this coincided with Maddie's 14th birthday so we combined the two occasions into one happy party.
Of course there were balloons but also we ceremoniously decorated the room with Tom's Civil War sword. We had to have a short bowing ceremony before the sword could be solemnly mounted over the fire place.
There were speeches. It was great, everybody seemed to make a speech. There was eating, drinking, dancing and beer pong. But most of all there was fun. Funny hats were the order of the day.
