So 4th of July was a bit different this year. We weren't in the Tennis Tournament for two reasons. I have a frozen shoulder and sadly couldn't lend my deep athletic knowledge and style to the game. Secondly, we were driving Jesse and Mel to the airport so we missed all but the beginning and the end. It was nice to have quiet time with the happy couple. It all gets so hectic and rushed as you try to pack everything in to a short space of time. We even managed to have a nice Mexican lunch before we dropped them off.
And then back for the nail biting end to the game. We had two partners battling the other two competing partners to see who would carry off the cup. There were two Sams who were roughly the same age: Sam Moore versus Sam Fowle and then there was Charlie Moore who is eleven and Sarah-Gaye Damon who is seventy three. I was rooting for them all but I had a strange premonition that Sam Moore was going to win and when he was paired up with Charlie I thought it was a done deal.
Here's Charlie, ever on the alert.
